A tasting room overlooking the vineyards

In our superb tasting room overlooking the vineyards, you can find our full range of fifty wines, each with its own distinct character, and discover one of France’s most dynamic wine-growing regions.

Our estate has the Vignobles & Découvertes certification and is deeply committed to environmentally responsible farming practices. Alongside our wines, you can also sample produce such as our olive oil and garrigue honey, made with the utmost respect for the environment. Indeed, if you visit the estate you may well see the 2,000 olive trees of different varieties on the estate, including Picholine, Lucques and Olivière, as well as beehives dotted across the garrigue scrubland.

Visitors can taste up to six different wines (red, white, rosé, orange, sparkling) in the tasting room, which offers a stunning view of the vineyards. The wine cellar is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, and on Saturdays by appointment only.

To book a tasting of six wines, please allow 1–1½ hours, at a cost of €12 per person.

Colouring books are available for children, and pets are welcome.

Explore the estate at a leisurely pace.

Step into the heart of our vineyard and enjoy an immersive experience that introduces you to our terroir, landscapes and expertise.

During this guided walk through the vineyards, discover the secrets of Languedoc viticulture, gain a deeper understanding of our environment and gain a fresh perspective on vineyard work and the rich biodiversity that surrounds it.

This outdoor interlude continues in the tasting room with a guided tasting of six of the estate’s wines, allowing you to explore the full diversity of our production.

Choose from two experiences :

Option 1 – Tour & Tasting
Guided tour followed by a tasting of six wines
€35 per person — Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Option 2 – Walk, Tasting & Gourmet Platter
Guided walk followed by a tasting of six wines, accompanied by a gourmet platter of local produce
€50 per person — Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

For younger visitors – Tour suitable for children aged 6 and over
Grape juice tasting and a gourmet platter
€15 per child — Duration: 1½ hours

Discover the hidden gems around our holiday rentals

Just a stone’s throw from our holiday homes are hiking trails through the unspoilt landscapes surrounding the estate. Follow the paths as they wind through vineyards, olive groves and the enchanting vistas of the Domaine de la Madone, nestled in the heart of a rich and vibrant natural environment.

As you wander the paths, take the time to observe the biodiversity that makes this place so unique: carefully preserved flora and fauna, intimately linked to our local environment.

Accessible throughout your stay, summer and winter alike, our hiking trails offer several routes with varied soils :
gentle, relatively flat sections,
more challenging routes with some steep climbs,
and stunning views that are often only reached by climbing higher.

Some routes may be more challenging, particularly for older people, people with reduced mobility (PRM) or young children. Please bear this in mind when choosing your walk.

Remember to dress for the weather:

• bring water,
• pack sun cream,
• and a hat if the weather calls for it.

Please respect the local flora and fauna and the estate during your walks: leave no trace of your visit.

In partnership with Orge Sucrée in Cazilhac, just a few kilometres from us, set off on a horse-riding excursion through the enchanting landscapes of our estate in the south of France.

Setting off from the estate’s stables, let yourself be guided along the paths through the garrigue, amongst vineyards, hills and unspoilt countryside, at the horses’ pace. A unique and peaceful way to discover the estate’s panoramic views, with the Alaric and the Montagne Noire revealed in a whole new light.

An immersive experience in the great outdoors

This tour is available by booking only and can also be enjoyed during the Spring Creators’ Market, which takes place every year in June.

A vintage-style exploration

Enjoy a unique getaway and explore Domaine Calmel & Joseph on a Solex: discover our landscapes in a whole new way thanks to our partnership with Solexploration.
Hop on one of these iconic two-wheelers for a bucolic ride through the vineyards, the garrigue and the landscapes of the Corbières. A fun, delightful and different way to explore the region at a leisurely pace.
